William David Volk

American mobile game designer, inventor, and publisher who serves as the Chief Futurist of the virtual reality publishing company Forward Reality. He previously worked with Activision and helped create the 1992 game Leather Goddesses of Phobos 2, the 1993 game Return to Zork, The Manhole, and numerous other adventure games.

Before Fame

He attended the University of Pennsylvania where he studied physics and astronomy, and he went to the University of New Hampshire where he studied computer engineering.

Trivia

In 2019, he produced and published The Climate Trail, which is a post-climate apocalypse game based on the popular game The Oregon Trail.
