Vitorino Nemésio

About

Portuguese poet and author who published the popular romance novel, Mau Tempo No Canal, in 1944. His other works include the poetry collection Canto Matinal and the novel Varanda de Pilatos.

Before Fame

He was an editor of the student newspaper while studying at the University of Coimbra.

Trivia

He was a professor at the University of Lisbon and a member of the Academy of Sciences in Lisbon.

Family Life

He married in 1926 and had four children. He died at the age of seventy-six in Lisbon.
