Viorica Viscopoleanu

About

Olympic medalist long jumper who competed at the Olympics in 1964, 1968 and 1972. She won a gold medal at the 1968 Olympics and set a new world record in long jump. 

Before Fame

She started her international career at the 1962 European Championships. 

Trivia

She attended and won in 1969, 1970 and 1971 at the European championships. She held the title of the Romanian long jump champion from 1962-70 and then again in 1973. 

Family Life

She is from Storojineț, Romania. She married and has two children.
