Human Rights Activist and Environmentalist who became a spokesperson for the Sarayaku Indigenous community. She has fought to preserve the Amazon against climate change. Her life was the subject of the documentary entitled Helena of Sarayaku. She has amassed over 110,000 followers on her helenagualinga Instagram account where she promotes her work around the world.

She studied at the secondary school Cathedral School of Åbo.

She targeted the fossil fuel companies by creating Polluters Out with Isabella Fallahi and Ayisha Siddiqa. Her work led to her being on the cover of Vogue in 2022 and Forbes Ecuador in 2023. 

Family Life

Her mother, Noemí Gualinga, was the former president of the Kichwa Women's Association.
