Family Life

He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina to parents Reuben and Paola, but moved to Santa Catarina, Brazil when he was little. He has an older brother named Alejo Muniz who is also a surfer.

His brother Alejo became known after knocking pro surfer Kelly Slater out of the 2015 Pipe Masters.
