Known best for his role as Mauricio de la Vega in the Venezuelan telenovela Juana la Virgen, Alamo also appeared in several other RCTV and Venevision series, including Ser Bonita No Basta and Valgame Dios.

Early in his career, he acted in a 1994 telenovela titled Cruz de Nadie.

In 2004, he starred as Bernardo Valdez in the soap opera Amor Del Bueno.

His marriage to model and fellow telenovela actor Marjorie De Sousa lasted from 2005 until 2006.
