Before Fame

 At just six years old, he began playing the sport, often watching matches at a local shop due to the family's inability to afford a television. His father enrolled him in the Victoria Park cricket academy in Meerut and traveled by bike 40 kilometers to ensure his son could attend practice. 

Trivia

In December 2019, he was appointed captain of India's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, leading the team to the finals. His leadership during the tournament was widely recognized.

Family Life

He comes from a supportive family; his father, Naresh Garg, is a health worker, and his mother, Kusum Devi, is a homemaker. He has three sisters: Pooja, Jyoti, and Reshu, and an elder brother, Shivam.
