Paul Mealor

About

Known for his choral compositions. He wrote the hit 2011 Christmas song "Wherever You Are" in honor of the troops serving in Afghanistan.

Before Fame

He attended the Royal Danish Academy of Music, where he was a student of Danish composer Hans Abrahamsen.

Trivia

He began teaching at the University of Aberdeen in 2003 and was eventually named Professor of Composition.

Family Life

His family was residing in St Asaph, Denbighshire, North Wales, when he was born.

Associated With

He was commissioned to write a motet based on "Ubi Caritas et Amor" for Kate Middleton and Prince William's Royal Wedding on April 29, 2011.
