NFL linebacker that was originally taken by the Los Angeles Chargers as a sixth round pick in the 2021 Draft. Following his 2021 season, he was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.

Before Fame

Prior to being drafted, he played college football at the University of Iowa. While there, he was a four-time member of the All-Big Ten Academic team. 

Trivia

He made his official NFL debut while playing against the Washington Commanders during week one of the 2021 regular season. He collected one tackle in a 20-16 victory. 

Family Life

Growing up, he lived with his family in the Waterloo, Iowa area. His brother is a former Iowa linebacker, Ben Niewmann, he went on to play for the Tennessee Titans.
