Prior to his wrestling career, he had dreams of playing baseball professionally. He even worked as a middle school teacher.

He was once hired to be an account executive for the Brooklyn Nets organization. He was even given a chance to at a finance company on New York's Wall Street.

He grew up living in the state of Virginia. He was born of Argentinian and African-American descent.
