Lee Byung-hoon

About

For his work on the 2010 Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) series Dong Yi, this South Korean director earned a Korea Drama Award. He had previously won Korean Producers & Directors Association and Baeksang Arts awards for his work on, respectively, Hur Jun and Dae Jang Geum.

Before Fame

His career with the MBC network began in the early 1970s. A decade later, he created the popular period drama 500 Years of Joseon.

Trivia

He was one of the two main directors for the 2012 to 2013 television series The King's Doctor.

Family Life

He was born and raised in South Korea's Chungcheong Province, and he later studied forestry at Seoul National University.

Lee Young-ae was one of the stars of Byung-hoon's popular television series Dae Jang Geum.
