Before Fame

He started singing in his church choir at age nine and went to North Springs High School in Atlanta, Georgia. His first group was called the NuBeginnings. 

Trivia

His 1997 hit "You Make Me Wanna..." reached #1 in the U.K. and "Nice & Slow" became a #1 U.S. single in 1998. He performed for the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2024. 

Family Life

He married Tameka Foster on August 3, 2007 and they had two children together before divorcing in 2009. He was then married to Grace Miguel from 2015 until 2018. Subsequently, he began dating Jennifer Goicoechea. They have two kids: Sovereign Bo and Sire Castrello Raymond. They got engaged in August of 2022 and married in February 2024.
