Kevin Burg

American artist and animator known for co-inventing the cinemagraph with his wife, photographer Jamie Beck. He first began to gain fame for sharing images on Tumblr. He has since created cinemagraph images for Google, MTV, and Samsung, among others.

Before Fame

He created his first animated GIF, a 3D spinning cube, while in high school.

He was featured in the PBS documentary Animated GIFs: The Birth of a Medium. He shares his animations on his kevinburg Instagram account.

Family Life

He and Jamie Beck have a daughter named Eloise.
