American theater, Broadway, and film producer. He was known for My Dinner With Andre from 1981.

Before Fame

He was the child of Rube Goldberg, who advised him to change his name. His brother chose the surname George, so he took it as well.

Trivia

His start in producing came with the documentary The James Dean Story from 1957.

Family Life

He had a daughter, Jennifer, in 1960. His wife Judith Ross wrote his film Rich Kids from 1979.

He produced 1973's Night Watch, which starred Elizabeth Taylor.
