Alireza Biranvand

About

Iranian professional football player known for his work as a goalkeeper for the Persepolis FC in the Persian Gulf Pro League. He is also known for his work with Iran's national team as a goalkeeper as well. 

Before Fame

His youth career began in 2007 when he was selected to take part in the Vahdat academy. He then began playing with the Naft Tehran club in 2008 and made his senior career debut in 2010 for the club. That same year he began playing for Iran's under 20 national team as well and joined their first team during the 2015 season. 

Trivia

As an individual, he was awarded the Persian Gulf Pro League Best Goalie of the Year award in the 2014, 2016, and 2017 seasons. He was also honored with team of the year during those seasons.

Family Life

He was born and raised in Sarab-e Yas, Khorramabad, Iran. 

Associated With

He played alongside Ehsan Hajsafi, Ashkan Dejagah, and Masoud Shojaei on Iran's national team during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
