Zion Suzuki

About

Former teenage soccer phenom and athlete that originally began his club soccer career with the Urawa Reds. He was later acquired by Sint-Truidense V.V. via loan transfer during the 2023 club season. He has also played for the Japanese men's national team. 

Before Fame

As a kid, he played for the Urawa Reds Youth Academy. He initially joined Urawa in the year 2009. 

Trivia

He is the youngest player in Urawa Reds' history to received a professional club contract. At the time of his signing, he was just 16 years and five months old. He stands 6'3" tall. He played in Japan's opening match of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, which resulted in a 4-2 win against Vietnam. He also played in their following 1-2 defeat to Iraq, logging one save.

Family Life

Growing up, he lived with his family in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is of Japanese descent.
