Zali Steggall

One of Australia's most successful alpine skiers; won Olympic bronze in the 1998 slalom and World Championship gold in the 1999 slalom.

Before Fame

She was born in Manly, New South Wales, but she lived in France from 1978 to 1988, where she learned to ski.

Trivia

In 2004, she was inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame.

Family Life

Her brother Zeke was an Olympic snowboarder, and she married Olympic rower David Cameron in 1999 but they divorced in 2007.

Associated With

American skier Picabo Street took gold in the Super-G event at the 1998 Olympics.
