About

NBA center that was originally selected by the New Orleans Pelicans as a first round pick in the 2024 Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college basketball at Baylor University. During his only season at Baylor, he was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman team. 

Before Fame

He was considered a five-star recruit while at Prolific Prep. At the time, he was the second highest ranked prospect in the state of California. 

Trivia

In 2024, he made Baylor program history after becoming the first freshman in school history to earn All-Big 12 Defensive Team honors. Despite being a freshman, he also led his team in double doubles as well. 

Family Life

Although he was born in Belgium, he is of Cameroonian descent. His older brother, Steve, was named the 2015 Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year while at Harvard University.
