Yogi Adityanath

About

Hindu nationalist politician and Indian Monk who is best recognized for having served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He is also known for having previously served as a member of the Legislative Council of Uttar Pradesh. 

Before Fame

He originally earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University. He joined the Ayodhya Ram temple movement in the 1990's. He started gaining attention in politics in 1998 when he first became a member of the India Parliament for Gorakhpur. 

Trivia

He is known for at one point having been the youngest member of the 12th Lok Sabha at the age of 26. 

Family Life

His father Anand Singh Bisht was a forest ranger. He has four brothers and three sisters.
