Willy Kanis

About

Olympic track cyclist and former Dutch National Track champion who primarily competed in the women's 500 meters, Keirin, sprint and team sprint events. She won sixteen Dutch National championships. 

Before Fame

She first learned how to ride a bike as a young girl. She later began her professional cycling career as a teenager in 2003. 

Trivia

She raced in her first Olympic match during the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China. She finished fourth in the women's Sprint event. 

Family Life

She grew up living with her family in Kampen, Netherlands.
