Christian clergyman and peace activist who was the President of SANE/Freeze (now Peace Action), the nation's largest peace and justice group.

Before Fame

As a child, he dreamed of becoming a concert pianist.

Trivia

He helped build the first training programs for the Peace Corps, and oversaw the construction of the Puerto Rican training camp.

Family Life

He was married three times. First, with Eva Rubinstein, then with Harriet Gibney, and third, with Virginia Randolph Wilson. His children were named David, Alexander, and Amy. Alexander, however, died in a car accident.
