Warren H. Carroll

About

American historian who founded Christendom College and served as its first president. Much of his scholarly work focused on the history of the Roman Catholic church.

Before Fame

He earned a B.A. in history from Bates College and a Ph.D. in history from Columbia University.

Trivia

In 2007, Christendom College awarded him its Pro Deo et Patria Award for Distinguished Service to God and Country.

Family Life

He was married to author Anne W. Carroll. His mother, Gladys Hasty Carroll, was a famous novelist.
