Astronaut famous for being the oldest person to go into space by taking the Blue Origin flight on July 20, 2021. She is also the first female air safety investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board and the first female civilian flight instructor at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Before Fame

She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education at Oklahoma State University. She became a professional aviator at the age of 20. 

Trivia

She was the chief pilot for five different aviation schools, where she trained thousands of students. 

Family Life

While growing up, her parents owned a store that sold art from local artists.
