Vladimir Sasimovich

About

Former Olympic javelin thrower who competed professionally for nearly 20 years. During his playing career, he competed in the Olympics, the World Championships, the European Championships and the IAAF World Cup. He was unfortunately suspended by the IAAF during the end of his career. 

Before Fame

As a teenager, he won a gold medal at the 1986 World Junior Championships. He then earned a silver medal during the 1987 European Junior Championships.

Trivia

During his professional playing career, he has represented three different countries in international competitions. In fact, he has made the national team for countries such as Belarus, the United States and the Soviet Union. 

Family Life

Growing up, he lived with his family in Belarus.
