Vijay Thanigasalam

About

Politician and former Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Transportation and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Infrastructure that served in these roles until the year 2023. He was later elected to be the Associate Minister of Transportation while also serving as a politician in the Ontario Provincial Parliament for Scarborough-Rouge Park. He is a member of the 

Before Fame

He is a graduate of the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Academy. He later enrolled into the University of Toronto-Scarborough.

Trivia

Prior to his political career, he worked as a financial adviser. He was also a key member for creating the Scarborough Academy of Medicine and Integrated Health at the University of Toronto Scarborough, which is the first ever medical school created in Scarborough's history. 

Family Life

He is a native of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. He and his family later moved to Canada during his teenage years.
