Estonian poet and children's author who rose to literary prominence during the last quarter of the twentieth century. Her literary works include Haal (poems) and Leopold (children's fiction).

Before Fame

Her first poem appeared in her local newspaper in 1962; two years later, she published a piece in Looming, a major literary journal.

Trivia

Her first collection of poems, Holiday of Clouds, was published in 1965.

She married fellow Estonian writer Jaak Joeruut in 1974.
