Vicki Keith Munro

About

Canadian marathon swimmer who is known for such achievements as being the first person to ever swim across all five Great Lakes. She is also the first to ever butterfly swim across the English Channel, and long held the record for longest continuous swim in a pool at over 2 hours. 

Before Fame

She achieved her first world record when she crossed Lake Ontario in 1985. 

Trivia

She was inducted into the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. She was named a Member of the Order of Canada in 1992 in recognition of her athletic achievements.

Family Life

Her husband John passed away in December 2020.
