Vern Monnett

Country rock singer and actor who has released numerous albums and toured with groups like Black Sabbath. He played with the Texas Tornados as well.

Before Fame

He moved to Los Angeles in the 1980s and started working as a lead guitarist and pedal steel player with the band Meisner, Swan and Rich.

Trivia

His first acting role was alongside River Phoenix and Sandra Bullock in the 1993 film The Thing Called Love.

Family Life

His great grandfather was musician Wilbur Monnett, who played trumpet for John Phillip Sousa and Arthur Pryor.
