Tyrese Maxey

About

Point guard who played one year of college basketball at the University of Kentucky before declaring for the 2020 NBA draft. He was selected 21st overall in the 2020 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. He soon became the team's starting point guard and he was named the NBA's Most Improved Player in 2024.

He attended South Garland High School.

Trivia

He helped lead the United States under-18 basketball team to victory at the 2018 FIBA Under-18 Americas Championship. He has earned over 750,000 followers on his Instagram account, where he primarily posts basketball content.  He made the NBA All-Star Game for the first time in his career in 2024.

Family Life

His father Tyrone has worked for Southern Methodist University.
