Former hacker known for his association with so-called "hacktivist" groups like Anonymous and LulzSec. He was arrested in 2011 and pleaded guilty to a number of distributed denial-of-service attacks on various websites, at which point he spent 37 days in prison. 

Before Fame

He grew up in the Shetland Islands of Scotland and became involved with 4chan's /b/ message board in the mid-2000s.
