Tom Hafey

About

Legendary Australian rules football player and coach who was a member of the very first Australian Football Hall of Fame class. He is best known for his time at Richmond, where he coached the team to four premierships.

Before Fame

He got his start as a player with under-19 East Malvern team.

Trivia

He was given the Coaching Legend Award by the AFL Coaches Association and was made coach of Richmond's Team of the Century.

Family Life

He has daughters named Rhonda, Karen and Jo. He is survived by his wife, Maureen.

Associated With

He and Mick Malthouse were both given the Jock McHale Medal as the AFL Preimership-winning coach of the year.
