Canadian singer-songwriter whose debut album Goon was released to much critical acclaim in 2015. Prior to his solo career, he was the bassist for the band The Sessions as well as pop singer Melissa Cavatti.

Before Fame

He was born in North Vancouver and made music in Los Angeles for 4 years before moving back to Canada. It was there that he taught himself to play piano and began composing songs for his solo album.

Trivia

He received increased mainstream attention after his song "How Could You Babe" was tweeted by British superstar Adele.

Family Life

His mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. He has a sister.

His album Goon featured a variety of producers, including Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney.
