About

Father of Olympian and gymnast Gabby Douglas. She told reporters that he abandoned her mother and siblings at an early age, leaving the family to struggle financially for years. He was seen at the Olympic Games in London in 2012, waving a flag saying "Go Gabby. Love, Dad." She said this threw off her guard moments before she was due to perform.

Before Fame

He served as a staff sergeant in the Air National Guard. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Trivia

In March 2012, he was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a child. 

Family Life

He was twice married to Gabby Douglas' mother Natalie Hawkins. They ultimately divorced. They have four children.
