Tim Heitz

About

Award-winning visual artist, filmmaker, and director who is most recognized by his animation work on the children's film Megamind. He is also well-known by his works on Trolls, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, Shrek Forever After, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World and the Madagascar film series. He was later hired to work on the comedy film Shrek 5.

Before Fame

He is a graduate of San Jose State University. While there, he studied animation and illustration.

Trivia

He made his official debut as an animator while working on the short film Fumi and the Bad Luck Foot. Due to the film's highly-acclaimed performance, the short film received a nomination for 'Best Animated Short Subject' during the 2007 Annie Awards. 

Family Life

Growing up, he lived with his family in St. Louis, Missouri.
