Thiago Arancam

About

Italian-Brazilian lirico spinto tenor known for his voice and stage presence and for competing in multiple opera singing competitions, including the Operalia competition and the Bidu Sayão International Vocal Competition. He is also known for starring as the Phantom in a Brazilian production of The Phantom of the Opera and for his albums Arias, Bela Primavera, and This is Thiago Arancam. 

Before Fame

He enjoyed singing as a teenager, and he enrolled at the Municipal School of Music after high school. He furthered his studies at the Musical University Carlos Gomes and earned a degree in Erudite Chant in 2003. He was mentored by Maestro Bruno Roccella, a founder of the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra during this time period. 

Trivia

He received the Prêmio Revelação award at the 5th Bidu Sayão International Vocal Competition in 2004. He enjoys Brazilian pop music in addition to opera music. He has performed in over 40 different countries.

He was born and raised in  São Paulo, Brazil.
