Tragically, this young girl from Napier, New Zealand was assaulted and murdered one day after her sixth birthday. A decade and a half later, Jules Mikus was tied to the case by DNA evidence and was ultimately convicted of the crime.

Before Fame

On the day she was murdered, she had not wanted to go to class and had instead trekked some distance beyond her normal route after setting out alone to walk to the nearby Richmond Primary School.

Trivia

Playwright Paul Rothwell wrote a play titled Golden Boys that drew inspiration from Teresa Cormack's murder case.

Family Life

She and her younger sister, Sara, were the daughters of Kelly Piggot and Ross Cormack. Another sister, Hannah, was born after her death.
