Tenshin Nasukawa

About

Japanese kickboxer, boxer and mixed martial artist. He is known for his mix of acrobatic techniques like spinning kicks, rolling kicks and jumping knees. He became famous after his knockout victories over Amnat Ruenroeng in 2017 and Wanchalong PK Saenchaigym in 2016. He has amassed more than 1.1 million followers on his tenshin.nasukawa Instagram account.

Before Fame

He started learning Kyokushin Karate at age five. He won the Kaminarimon championship in Kyokushin Junior World Championship when he was a fifth grader in elementary school. 

Trivia

He became a professional kickboxer in 2012. He had a famous rivalry with Takeru Segawa. As of October 2022, he maintained an undefeated record in the ring.

Family Life

As a child, his father Hiroyuki Nasukawa made him enter a karate dojo. His father was one of his trainers.

Associated With

In 2018, he faced Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an exhibition match in Japan. After three knockdowns in the very first round, he threw in the towel and the referee stopped the fight.
