Before Fame

He studied at Madras Christian College in India, where he obtained his B.S. degree.

Trivia

He has worked for the Tibetan government in a variety of capacities, including as an interpreter and as an advisor on the board of the Tibetan Youth Congress.

Family Life

In 1950, following the Chinese invasion of Tibet, he and his family escaped to India, where they lived in exile.
