Before Fame

She is from South Carolina. She grew up Southern Baptist and converted to Assemblies of God then eventually returned to Christianity. She obtained her Master of Divinity degree from The King's Seminary.

She was on season 9 of American Idol. She had songs created by her used at Disneyland, Cirque du Soleil, and Nickelodeon. She was featured in the book, "The Ultimate Guide to Singing."

Family Life

She married Keith Everette Smith and they had two children.
