Tara Aghdashloo

Writer and director who rose to fame after releasing a series of documentaries including The Challenge of Youth (2015), Riksdag, The Story of a Few Iranians (2016) and The Value of Contemporary Art (2016).

Before Fame

She attended Ryerson University where she studied Journalism. She later received her masters at the University of London.

Trivia

In 2003 one of her poems was published in Karnaameh magazine. She later published a poetry collection entitled This is Not a Pomegranate in 2011.

Family Life

Both of her parents, Aydin and Firoozeh, were painters. She has a brother named Takin.

Prior to the marriage of her mother, her father was married to actress Shohreh Aghdashloo.
