First rose to fame for playing the title character in the 2002 film Evelyn. She would go on to earn prominent roles in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Becoming Jane, and 2017's Bring It On: Worldwide #Cheersmack.

Her film debut was in Evelyn as Evelyn Doyle. In the 2002 film, she starred opposite Pierce Brosnan.

In 2017, she earned her first recurring television role as Princess Ellisif in Vikings.

Her boyfriend is Scottish-Australian actor Jordan Patrick Smith.
