Initially famous as a runway and cover model, he later pursued an acting career, appearing in the MBC series Moon Embracing the Sun and in the KBS2 production Unkind Ladies. He was mostly recognized for his work in K-dramas.

Before beginning his entertainment career, he studied electrical engineering at Chung-Ang University. 

Trivia

A musician as well as an actor and model, he became proficient in the saxophone and guitar. He passed away at the young age of 39.
