Mexican cyclist specializing in both track and road disciplines and known for winning multiple medals at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships, for consistently medaling in Pan American competitions, and for being a member of the Virginia's Blue Ridge-TWENTY24 professional cycling team.

Before Fame

She began cycling when she was 14 years old. She had previously explored various sports such as speed skating, shooting, and swimming. She had secured her first national championship title in cycling within a year of her beginning the sport. She earned six gold medals at the Pan American Road and Track Championships as a junior competitor. 

Trivia

She became the third Mexican cyclist to earn medals at the World Championships in 2013 following Belem Guerrero and Nancy Contreras.

Family Life

Her full name is Sofía Arreola Navarro. She married Russell Finsterwald in November 2024.
