Indian film actress best recognized for her work in the South Indian film industry. She has appeared in several Malayalam and Tamil language films such as Virumbugirean in 2002, Haridas in 2013, and Pirivom Santhippom in 2008 where she played the character Visalakshi. 

Before Fame

She made her acting debut in 2000 when she appeared in the Malayalam film Ingane Oru Nilapakshi. Her Telugu debut came the following year in 2001 when she starred in Priyamaina Neeku. 

Trivia

She is known for having won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Tamil language film for her work in the 2002 film Unnai Ninaithu. 

Family Life

She married fellow actor Prasanna in 2012 and together they had a child named Vihaan in August of 2015.
