Shugo Maki

Professional baseball player and infielder who has played for the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. He made his debut with the organization in March of 2021.

Before Fame

He first played baseball in the 1st grade at Nakano Municipal Nakano Elementary School. He practiced baseball growing up with his grandfather.

Trivia

He played center field as a student at Matsumoto Daiichi High School. He has been the recipient of the Nakano City Honor Award. 

Family Life

He was born in Nakano; his family owned a beauty salon there. He married his college sweetheart in 2022.

He and fellow baseball athlete Shohei Ohtani were both born in Japan.
