Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad

About

Sufi Islamic scholar who served as the tenth Grand Mufti of India. His inauguration took place in February 2019. He was the General Secretary of the Indian Muslim Scholars Association. 

Before Fame

He studied at Baqiyat Salihat Arabic College in Vellore, India.

Trivia

He has written more than 60 books in Arabic, Urdu, and Malayalam. In July 2023, he was awarded the Hijra Award in Malaysia.

Family Life

His father was Mouthariyil Ahmad Haji.
