In 2005, her father met her mother at the taping of a pilot titled "Nobody's Watching."

In December 2021, it was announced that her mother would have the Maria Hill role in the Marvel series Secret Invasion.

Her parents married in 2012. Her younger sister, Janita, was born in 2015.
