American pianist, arranger, and record producer who's best known for his work in salsa and Latin music. He won the Latin Grammy Award for Producer of the Year in 2010, 2013, and 2014.

Before Fame

He began taking piano lessons at the age of 9 and attended the City College of New York. He started his music career at the age of 18 and toured with Tito Puente, Ray Barretto, and Willie Colon.

Trivia

He produced the platinum-selling album Combinacion Perfecta in 1993.

His parents are Sergio Sr. and Maria. He attended the 9th Annual Latin Grammy Awards with his daughter Viveli.
