Japanese pop singer famous for songs such as "Ruriiro No Chikyuu," "Sweet Memories" and "hadashi no kisetsu".  She was one of the most popular singers in Japan throughout the 1980s. 

Before Fame

In 1978, he won the Miss Seventeen contest, which was held by a popular magazine. 

Trivia

From 1988 to 2000, she held the record for most number-one singles from any artist in Japan. 

Family Life

In 2012, she married Hiromasa Kawana. He is a university professor.
