Sean Rooks

About

Journeyman center in the NBA whose longest tenures included three years with both of the Los Angeles teams, the Lakers and Clippers. He then spent time as a coach, with his most notable position being as an assistant with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Before Fame

While playing collegiate ball for the Arizona Wildcats, he earned all-conference honors in the Pac-10 in 1992. He was selected by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2nd round of the 1992 NBA Draft.

Trivia

He died of heart disease only hours after interviewing with the New York Knicks to be a part of their coaching staff.

He had two children named Khayla and Kameron.
